ICBA sent a letter to the OCC saying it strongly opposes Payward, Inc.’s application for a national trust bank charter for its subsidiary, Payward National Trust Company. ICBA urged the OCC to deny this application, saying it fails to satisfy the statutory and regulatory requirements for a national bank charter under the National Bank Act and the OCC’s regulations and standards.
